pwsoftware

PW Software | A weblog at heart, but also gives way to graphic design, music production, programming, and whatever else comes to mind. Besides, who seriously has a weblog that focuses on one thing? Boooooring.

Full-Length Mega Man Trailer

... is coming November 22nd. It’s about damn time. I mean, the movie itself is supposed to come out this winter, which would be December [the director said it would be released in the winter of ‘08]. This is going to be so cool. Even if it sucks [as if] it will be talked about for some time. Here’s the blog again for those who didn’t see my earlier posts. You can reach the official site through it.

Obama Launches New Site

Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today.

So says the President Elect on the header of his new site, Change.gov. The site aims to chronicle Obama’s transition into the Oval Office. People can sign up and ask questions and such so it’s pretty cool. Of course, me being a nerd, I looked at the site’s source code [try it]. The markup is so clean! Lots of white space and not too many indents. Just enough to differentiate between the different sections. I like.

Design Coding Rap

I found this pretty funny so maybe you will too. There’s a guy rapping about designing websites and coding standards. Take a gander. You won’t be amused if you don’t know much about such things as an FYI.

First Freelance Gig

Yeah, I just had my business meeting today, going over the details for the project. It’ll be done in a week and a some change while consisting of a few ad pieces and some sites. Ahhhhh, it feels great working for yourself. I’ll try and see if I can’t get a steady amount of business because I’ve realized just a few days ago that I am not cut out for retail ... just because someone is a team lead, doesn’t mean that they can throw around their status and [try to] report people should they ever feel that their authority is challenged. And there’s no way to win. It’s a bunch of bull but I digress.

This will help me get some other projects up and running as well [oh yeah, I can upgrade my computing setup too thumb-up ].

Barack Obama is the 44th President

Barack Obama won 297 to 146 ... he actually won. I mean Barack Obama actually won. I. Am so happy. This is just awesome. America is truly a place where anything can happen and anyone can go for their dreams and achieve them.

i-can-fly

UPDATE: The final votes are 333 to 156. I find it interesting that 3 happens to be my lucky number and Obama got 3 of ‘em. Hmm, lucky president? =D Make the dollar stronger please! I have a bunch of stuff I want to import, like green tea Kit-Kats and other cool gadgets.

Incentive to Vote?

LMFAO, Kris Wilson keeps coming up with crazy stuff. Check out his deviantART for loads of more comics [and to make this larger].

Vote Today!

It is imperative that you vote today! I don’t care who your preference is, just vote. Obama, McCain, Jesus, Homer, just do it! shakefist

DSi Videos

While Japan gets to play with their new oh-so-awesome gadget, Westerners can only look over forlornly and watch YouTube videos of the new handheld. That said, here are 3 more! Check out DS Fanboy for ‘em.

Sneak Peeks

I have some design work that will enhance my portfolio a bit, to be completed in the upcoming weeks. Also, I have some more news that I don’t wish to leak out just yet. Heehee, stay tuned till next Friday.for the full details.

Shaba! =D

Nintendo DSi Unboxing

With the Nintendo DSi set to come over here to the states in the summer of ‘09 [please be June], all we have to work with as far as information and fawning are pics snapped by our friends on the far east coast. I’m even more excited about the DSi now. I know other people have their doubts and even some misgivings about the new handheld but I think Nintendo will still sell a lot of units. I just hope the first games for the system won’t be third-party shovelware from game developers looking to make a quick buck/yen. With that said, let’s dig in!

The power button is no longer on the side of the unit, like the DS Lite. This seems like a natural fit for the power button. I just hope it requires more than a brief touch to turn on/off the DSi because I can see how a player might accidentally move their thumb. Just imagine all the hours of dungeon-crawling in Final Fantasy. That would be craptacular.

Now, this I like. Again, the notification lights have switched sides of the DS.

Ah, the SD Card slot. I’m glad I have a couple SD cards [64MB and 2GB ... note to self, get the 2GB back from NetAgent Blizzad].

So this must be the picture button ... duh.

Screen to customize your color scheme so that whenever you turn on your DSi, that’s the hue the borders and such will be in. Looks like the same amount of colors the DS has, if not less.

Notice the camera above the screen, next to the mic. That’s just one of two. Maybe this is the screen you see when taking pictures of yourself.

You have the option of making whatever picture you took, the photo for your startup screen. Awesome. I wonder if You can take a picture from your SD card/on-board memory to do the same thing [just thought about what I wrote, LOL].

There seems to be a good number of photo-effects. Looks rather boring but I’m sure it looks better in action.

You can choose to either save your photos on the DSi or on your SD card.

There’s a plethora of photos, these were just the delicious frosting from the proverbial cake [is cake really proverbial? I heard it was a lie]. Check out the rest.
