Proof that Pokémans Exist
Comments | Hey, you're gonna comment on my post? You are totally cool. No seriously ... ok, maybe.
I have modded my computer to look like Leopard before when I had Windows XP, but that was mostly just a dock and Windowblinds skin or a VS. Mark Raats is pretty much the unofficial authority making XP look like Leopard but he did not have an actual guide, just downloads. Well, that is until now.
Geez ... well, have fun modding! It is recommended that you have decent hardware on your computer though. Emualtion takes up a good amount of system resources.
I came across this site via a tutorial for a cool text effect in Photoshop. Anyhoo, after looking around the site some more, I have concluded that:
1. Ed Merritt makes some pretty damn good fonts and
2. I have really got to try out Font Creator
Seriously, check out the fonts. You won’t be disappointed ... did I mention that most of them are free? Yeah. What are you waiting for, go!
Yah yah, so check out! Tell me if something isn’t working ... although I think I covered everything.
... named Random.
Yup, that’s his name! Anyhoo, in a muscial climate where everything is commercialized and dependent on “hits”, Random continues to do his own thing - and that is, make real music. And on top of that, he produces his own beats, coaches, and is a teacher. Just when I thought this guy couldn’t get any cooler, he puts out a mixtape called “Mega Ran”, which is him as Mega Man, rapping and beating Robot Bosses one verse at a time. Granted, this mixtape has already been out for quite some time but it has been on heavy rotation on my MP3 player and laptop recently. From the epic banging Intro to the mellow groove of Aqua Soul and on to the guitar riffs of Boss Battle Metal Man featuring The Megas, the mixtape is simply sick. Here are some of my favorite tracks:
Track 03 - Bubble Man [Produced by DN3]
Track 04 - Aqua Soul [Produced by Random]
Track 09 - Boss Battle Metal Man [The Megas REMIX]
Track 11 - Rock & Roll [Produced by Domingo]
Track 12 - Final Battle [Produced by Samik]
Track 13 - Grow Up [Produced by Random]
There are 13 tracks in total. I actually had to stop myself from just typing the whole playlist,
. Random and friends use classic 8-bit Mega Man sounds and remixes them with hip-hop and sound clips from the original Mega Man cartoon. This is a must-download for any Mega Man fan [free also]. Check out the tracklisting, cover art, and Random’s MySpace page after the jump.
EDIT: I just found out today that he released the instrumentals as well! Oh man, this is too awesome.
EDIT#2: Well, the instrumentals aren’t true instrumentals in the sense that it is only the beat. You can hear the adlibs, and all the songs from the mixtape aren’t included in the instrumental pack. Meh, it’s just as well.
Track 01. Random - Intro [Produced by DN3]
Track 02. Random - Shadow Man [Produced by Random]

Track 04. Random - Aqua Soul [Produced by Random]
Track 05. Random - MegaLude [Produced by Random]
Track 06. Random - The Continuation [Produced by Random]

Normally I would disregard such things but sometimes people surprise me. For example, this lovely 20th Anniversary Mega Man jersey from Play-Asia:
Alas, it is out of stock ... However, I logged onto Rockman.EXE Online and found a CafePress store from a newbie on the boards. I was surprised to say the least, at how well his tshirts looked. Here’s a peek at the Megaman.EXE one:
Click on the above picture to see the rest of Rock.EXE’s shirts [which include Bass, Protoman, Glyde, and Roll].
Well, if sites like dA and MacThemes are any indication, designing for the iPhone is pretty popular.
But no one has ever made a complete template for the iPhone GUI though, only the shell - until now. Really, the amount of work and level of detail are just amazing. I do wish that everything had it’s own layer and whatnot [because really, it is just a big picture] but I guess I’ll have to make do ... ThreeTwentyFourEighty also has a PSD template for you to check out as well.
Oh man, the avatars are so awesome. I stumbled across these today, and some are pretty funny. Check ‘em out!
I’m trying to make my site universally uniform but it’s pretty difficult ... trying to make the search page not look like crap and I am succeeding, if only slightly.
Well, I must say I was pretty surprised to see this today. A guy by the name of Liam Akakpo has made a PET program for the Windows OS. More specifically,
WinPET is basically an application launcher based on the PET (PErsonal Terminal) from Megaman/Rockman EXE series. It makes launching applications and internet related tasks quick and convinient.
WinPET is now in version 2.0.5 if you’re interested in downloading it. If you’ve ever seen screenshots of the Japan-only released MMBN4.5, then the interface will be familiar to you.
EDIT: The admin now has a forum for the WinPET. Check it out!
